Nampa, Idaho (October 21, 2016) — One hundred and seventy-two years ago an earnest group of people were watching and waiting for the Lord's return. When the skies did not unfold, and the trumpet did not sound, their bitter disappointment threatened to destroy them. But God was on the move raising up a people to carry His message to the world and He kept the small band together, one step at a time.
Today, the church born out of this experience is known by the name Seventh-day Adventist and it remains committed to proclaiming Christ's soon return to the world.
Tell the World
Hope Channel, the official broadcast network of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia, has created a powerful cinematic production that officially releases this weekend. Tell the World is the story of the birth, development, and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
This project largely came about through the vision and passion of Elder Chester Stanley, former president of the Australian Union Conference. He says, "We must not forget our story. If we do forget, we do it to our peril. Our young people need to get to know this story. They need to see how God led. What better way for them to be reminded than to bring our story to life on the screen."
Tell the World is a powerful portrayal of how we came to be here as a people and a compelling reminder of the purpose to which we are called. As the importance of carrying out this purpose becomes more pressing we must make use of every opportunity at hand. We urge our members to get a copy of Tell the World for themselves and watch it with their families, their friends, and neighbors. At only $4.99 it has been intentionally priced to share with others.
This message, the promise of Christ's soon return, is a worldwide message. We can, and we must, tell the world today!
Tell the World is now available for only $4.99!
