Pacific Press® and 3ABN respond to America's tragedy

Nampa, Idaho (September 25, 2001) - In response to the tragic events of September 11, Pacific Press® has prepared the following materials for our church members, just off the press.

Where Was God? is a special 32-page booklet from Signs of the Times® and El Centinela®. Designed to console those who wonder where God is when tragedy strikes, this piece uses stories, articles, and scripture references to help people understand what the Bible teaches about suffering, the last days, and the Second Coming. Available in English and Spanish.

The Forgotten Commandment, written by Danny Shelton, Speaker/Director of 3ABN and co-published with Pacific Press® , is a 48-page booklet which chronicles the beauty of the Sabbath and its importance in light of the last days. 500,000 copies are being printed at Pacific Press® for distribution in New York and throughout the country.

A special paperback edition of Ellen White's Last Day Events, priced for wide distribution. This book brings together significant statements on end-time events that have special relevance for today.

Also available: How to Prepare for the Coming Global Crisis, this year's Missionary Book of the Year. No topic could be more timely. Written by Marvin Moore, Signs of the Times® editor, this book is designed to be shared with non-members.

From Chapel Music®, Someone Cares is a new release by the Heritage Singers. The CD contains 10 comforting songs for those who are hurting. The theme of the CD is from Matthew 28:20 ..."And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Susan Harvey, Vice President of Marketing at Pacific Press® states, "Our editorial and pastoral team went to work on these materials on the afternoon of September 11. Never has the power of the printed word to bring a message of hope and comfort been more clear to us.

These materials define the ministry of Pacific Press®."

Dales Galusha, Assistant Vice President for Ministries at Pacific Press®, working closely with 3ABN comments, "Now is the time to place in the hands of our neighbors words of encouragement and truth. These special publications will be the spiritual life-line needed by many."
